Goa urban development minister advocates vertical growth at Ponda PMC building inauguration

Ponda, Oct 15: Goa needs to focus on vertical development to address the shortage of land for construction, said Urban Development Minister Vishwajit Rane during the inauguration of an annex to the Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) building on Tuesday.

Constructed by the Goa State Urban Development Agency (GSUDA), the new annex will house the offices of the PMC chairperson, deputy, councillors, and the administrative section. The event was attended by all Ponda councillors, municipal staff, Urban Development Secretary Yetindra Maralkar, Director of Municipal Administration Brijesh Manerkar, and the building contractors.

Rane also acknowledged the contributions of Agriculture Minister Ravi Naik in the development of Ponda. He assured the PMC that all remaining project proposals would be cleared by October 16.
