Safat, Sep 28: The Agnesian Alumnae Kuwait (AAK)-AGM for the term 2023 -2025 was held on August 15 . It was time once again to draw the curtains on a special and memorable term of the AAK & handover the Baton to the new office bearers. Amidst the Daily hustle and bustle of life, the ladies who carried the Agnesian banner, under the able leadership of the president Celine Mendonca, were proud and grateful for having served their Alma Mater well.

Shanthi Fernandes, the liturgical secretary, thanked the Almighty for all His blessings on the members and committee, through the term & Also surrendered the future of AAK into His loving hands.

The MC, Tressy Coutinho introduced the Agnesian Alumni, Kuwait after which the vice president, Kavitha D’souza briefed all present with an overview of all the events and activities conducted during this special term, in lieu of the general secretary, Marita D’Mello.

The treasurer, Crystal D’silva, presented the Accounts precisely and in a very creative story line to all present. Never have numbers felt so interesting.

As an important task during every AGM, the new committee for the term 2025-2027 was formed on this day. The electoral protocol was followed in submission of nomination forms, and the oath taking.

Tressy Coutinho introduced the new committee members before passing the baton to the new president elect Celine Mendonca.

Anita Lewis, who has been one of the pioneer members of AAK is moving on. And so it was time to bid adieu. Diany Coutinho and Celine Mendonca handed over a token of appreciation on behalf of AAK and Diany on behalf of AAK expressed gratitude to Anita and thanked her for all her contribution to her alma mater.

Anita in her response, expressed her joy and gratitude to God and to all her fellow AAK for being a part of her life in Kuwait .

To lighten the mood, MC Tressy conducted a fun Game in which, all the Ladies participated with the same vigor as is the Agnesian spirit.

It was now time for president Celine Mendonca, to express her gratitude to God, to each of her team members, their families and all beloved members of AAK, for the support and participation in all events and activities organized by her team. As she took on the responsibility for another term, she was grateful to her team and said she looked forward to work with her team to keep the Agnesian flag flying high.

It was only apt that all present joined the new committee in singing the college anthem. A group picture was in order to capture the solemn moment.

The AGM ended with some good association and friendly banter among members present while they enjoyed a fellowship lunch.
