Beltangady, Sep 19: A scooter rider lost his life after a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus collided with his two-wheeler on the Bantwal–Beltangady National Highway near N C Road at Kavalakatte on Friday, September 19.
The deceased has been identified as Rajesh (36), a resident of Bajire Cross Katte in Beltangady taluk.
According to police, the KSRTC bus was heading from Dharmasthala when it collided with the scooter that was on its way from Vagga towards Beltangady.
Rajesh sustained grievous injuries and was immediately rushed to a hospital in an ambulance, but he succumbed on the way.
Punjalakatte SI Rajesh visited the spot and registered a case.
