Mangaluru: 27-year-old man dies in Yeyyadi crash between auto & two-wheeler

Mangaluru, Sept 17: A fatal road accident occurred at Yeyyadi on Tuesday, involving a collision between an auto-rickshaw and a two-wheeler, which resulted in the death of a 27-year-old man identified as Kaushik.

According to reports, the autorickshaw was travelling from KPT to Haripadav, while the two-wheeler was heading from the Yeyyadi main junction towards Barebail.

It is alleged that the accident was caused due to the negligence of the auto driver. The impact of the collision was so severe that Kaushik, who was riding the two-wheeler, was thrown off the vehicle and struck an iron pillar located in front of a nearby vegetable shop.

He sustained serious injuries in the crash and was immediately rushed to hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway to determine the precise cause of the accident and whether traffic violations were involved.
