Udupi: Tiger dancer turns Python rescuer mid-performance

Udupi, Sep 16: During the Ashtami celebrations in Udupi, Akshay Shet of Gundibail, who was performing a Tiger dance, received an urgent call about a snake sighting and rescued a huge python.

Though an IT professional by occupation, Akshay Shet is well-known for his expertise in safely rescuing and releasing snakes. Without even removing his tiger costume, he rushed straight to the spot, safely captured the snake within minutes, and released it back into the wild.

His unique act of balancing folk art, professional life, and daring rescue work has won praise from the local community.
