Mangaluru, Sep 11: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged Dharmasthala mass burial case revisited Banglegudda on Wednesday as part of its ongoing investigation.

SIT officers carried out a site inspection (mahazar) to further document evidence related to skeletal remains recently unearthed at the location. The remains, reportedly traced to a spot identified by Vittal Gowda, a relative of Sowjanya, have been dispatched for forensic analysis.

Superintendent of Police Simon CA and his team visited the site along with Gowda, who is under SIT questioning regarding a skull earlier handed over by the witness-complainant.

The situation briefly turned tense when an argument broke out between a YouTuber and bystanders at the site. Police personnel quickly intervened and restored order.

Kerala-based YouTuber Manaf, who has been appearing before the SIT for three consecutive days, told reporters that he is cooperating fully with the probe. “Truth will prevail, and it cannot be achieved by walking the path of lies. I am sharing everything I know,” he said, adding that he has no intention of shielding anyone. “If any mistakes have been made, even by us, let them come out,” he remarked.

Meanwhile, activist Jayanth T, also being questioned by the SIT, confirmed that three of his mobile phones have been seized. He declined to comment further, citing the ongoing investigation.
