Bengaluru, Sep 2: Tech giant Apple on Tuesday inaugurated its first-ever official retail store in Bengaluru, marking a significant milestone for the company in South India. The outlet, named Apple Hebbal, is located at the Phoenix Mall of Asia in North Bengaluru.
This becomes Apple’s third official store in India, after Apple BKC in Mumbai and Apple Saket in Delhi, both of which opened in 2023.
Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Retail and People, expressed delight over the launch. “We’re delighted to open Apple Hebbal, a community hub that celebrates Bengaluru’s spirit of innovation. We can’t wait to connect with people here and inspire them to create, collaborate, and do amazing things with Apple,” she said.
The store, staffed by 70 employees from 15 different states across India, can cater to customers in Kannada, Hindi and 25 other regional languages. Though comparatively smaller in size than the Mumbai and Delhi outlets, Apple Hebbal carries Apple’s signature minimalist design with a large glass façade, smooth oak tables, and open layouts.
The store features dedicated sections for iPhones, MacBooks, iPads, iMacs, Watches, Apple TVs, and accessories like AirTags and Apple Pencil. It also houses a unified counter for product pick-ups, repairs, and Genius Bar assistance.
In line with Apple’s global sustainability goals, Apple Hebbal is a carbon-neutral store powered entirely by renewable energy.
As part of its customer engagement, the outlet will host Today at Apple sessions, offering workshops on Apple Intelligence features, video editing, digital art, and more. Personalisation services such as engraving on AirPods, AirTags, iPads, and Apple Pencils with emojis, names, or initials are also available.
The store also extends special support for businesses through Apple’s dedicated Business Team, which provides purchase guidance, finance options, and enterprise solutions for startups and established companies alike.
Apple has further expansion plans in India. After Bengaluru, the company will inaugurate Apple Koregaon Park Store in Pune on September 4, followed by two more stores later this year in Mumbai and Delhi-NCR, raising the total to six official outlets in the country.
