KEA announces KCET 2025 second round seat allotment results

Daijiworld Media Network- Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Aug 30: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the final results of the second round of seat allotment for various professional courses, including engineering, under the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET-2025). Candidates who have been allotted seats must report to their respective colleges and complete the admission process by September 3.

KEA officials clarified that the second round of allotment results for medical and dental courses will be declared only after the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) releases its results. Until then, no candidates will be allowed to exercise fresh choice options, KEA executive director H Prasanna informed.

With delays in the All-India second round counselling, the state has allowed KCET candidates to proceed with admissions to ensure convenience. Candidates have been given the option to select from four different choice categories. Except for medical and dental courses, admissions for all other professional courses have already commenced.

Students who have opted for Choice-1 and Choice-2 have been given time until September 2 to pay their admission fees. To facilitate timely admissions, the KEA has directed that colleges remain open on Sundays and public holidays.

“Candidates who fail to exercise any choice after seat allotment will be excluded from the counselling process and will not be allowed to re-enter,” Prasanna stated.
