Puttur, Aug 12: A student, who has become a mother after allegedly being raped and cheated by Krishna J Rao, son of Puttur BJP leader P G Jagannivas Rao, has approached the Western Range IGP Amit Singh seeking police protection, stating that she faces threats.

On August 11, the victim visited the office of the Western Range IGP in Mangaluru and submitted a memorandum.

She stated, “Recently, some unknown persons have been moving suspiciously near my house. My mother and I have noticed strangers loitering, especially during night hours. In the cheating case filed by me, justice will come only through my child. Therefore, I fear that my child’s life may be in danger from any quarter. I request that police protection be provided to me and my child.”
