Bengaluru, Aug 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in Bengaluru on Sunday, August 10, flagged off three Vande Bharat Express trains at Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna (KSR) Railway Station.
Modi landed at HAL Airport at 10 am on a special flight from New Delhi and later reached the military base near Mekhri Circle by helicopter.


From there, he travelled by road to KSR Railway Station, where he inaugurated the Belagavi–Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express.
He also virtually flagged off two more Vande Bharat Express trains — Amritsar–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Ajni (Nagpur)–Pune.
In addition, the Modi also flagged off train operations on the long-awaited R V Road–Bommasandra (Yellow Line) stretch of Namma Metro in the state capital, in the presence of chief minister Siddaramaiah and deputy chief minister D K Shivakumar. Commercial operations on this route will commence from August 11.
