Udupi, Aug 1: A school van driver ferrying students to school passed away after suffering a heart attack on Friday August 1 in Udupi.
The deceased has been identified as Moydheen Bava (65), a resident of Neere Bailoor, Karkala.
While transporting the students, the driver began experiencing chest pain. Upon noticing social worker Nityananda Volakadu walking along Maruthi Veethika, he stopped the vehicle and informed him about his condition. Nityananda Volakadu immediately arranged for an ambulance and rushed the driver to Ajjarkad district hospital.

Unfortunately, doctors at the hospital declared the driver dead on arrival.
Fortunately, since the driver stopped the vehicle upon sensing discomfort and sought help, a major accident was averted.
