Dublin, Jul 31: In a disturbing case of suspected racial violence in Ireland, Indian-origin entrepreneur and senior data scientist Santosh Yadav was brutally assaulted by a group of teenagers in Dublin.
Sharing his ordeal on LinkedIn, Yadav, who works with WiSAR Lab and Technology Gateway in Letterkenny, said the attack occurred near his apartment after dinner. “A group of six teenagers attacked me from behind. They snatched my glasses, broke them, and beat me relentlessly across my head, face, neck, chest, hands, and legs—leaving me bleeding on the pavement,” he wrote.

Yadav managed to call emergency services and was rushed to Blanchardstown Hospital, where doctors confirmed a fractured cheekbone. He has since been referred for specialist care. He also shared graphic photos showing blood streaming down his face and his broken glasses.
Calling the incident part of a growing trend, Yadav claimed racial assaults against minorities, especially Indian men, are surging across Dublin. “This is not an isolated incident. These attacks are happening on buses, in housing estates, and on public streets. Yet, the government remains silent,” he alleged.
Tagging authorities including the Irish government, Indian Embassy in Dublin, and the Ministry of External Affairs, Yadav appealed for immediate intervention and protection for minorities. “We deserve to feel safe. We deserve to walk on the streets without fear,” he stated.
This comes just days after another Indian man was assaulted by a mob in the Tallaght area of south-west Dublin. Local resident Jennifer Murray, who assisted the victim, had posted an emotional video on Facebook claiming that at least five Indian men had been stabbed in recent days by the same teenage gang, which falsely accused one victim of being a pedophile.
Irish authorities have yet to officially respond to the rising concerns of racial attacks targeting the Indian community.
