Mangaluru, July 29: A major fire broke out on Tuesday, July 29, in the morning at a shop dealing in animal feed and agricultural products near Pumpwell, causing extensive damage to property.
The blaze, which is suspected to have been triggered by a short circuit, engulfed the store in flames, reducing goods worth several lacs of rupees to ashes.


Fire and emergency personnel from both the Pandeshwar and Kadri stations rushed to the spot and launched a swift firefighting operation to bring the blaze under control.
No injuries have been reported, but the financial loss is expected to be significant.
Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the incident.
