Bantwal, Jul 27: A car overturned after the driver lost control near Bollukallu, close to Mani in Vittal, on July 26.

The accident occurred while the vehicle was heading from Uppinangady towards Mangaluru.

 

The driver and one passenger sustained minor injuries and escaped without serious harm.

Motorists and vehicle owners have attributed the mishap to poor highway conditions, alleging that stagnant rainwater caused by ongoing roadworks is leading to frequent accidents in the area.

    A vehicle is being manufactured with important control systems like; brake, accelerator, gears, clutch, steering and foremostly the skills of one who is driving. Alertness and self judgement are more important than simply speeding.
