Israel strikes Houthi military targets at Yemen's Hodeidah Port

Daijiworld Media Network - Jerusalem

Jerusalem, Jul 21: The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) on Monday claimed it carried out airstrikes on Houthi military infrastructure at Yemen’s strategic Hodeidah port, targeting equipment and facilities allegedly used for hostile operations against Israel.

In a post on X, the IDF said it destroyed “engineering tools, fuel tanks, vessels, and other infrastructure” reportedly involved in military activity and arms transfers by the Iran-backed Houthi regime.

According to the IDF, the port has long been exploited to launch terror operations, exert pressure on international maritime traffic, and transfer weapons from Iran. The strikes were aimed at halting what the IDF described as ongoing efforts to rebuild terror capabilities at the site.

“The IDF identified ongoing activity... and therefore, the components used to advance this activity were attacked,” the military stated.

Labeling the Houthis as a “terror regime,” the IDF accused them of using civilian infrastructure for military purposes, threatening global shipping and regional stability.

Reaffirming its stance, the IDF declared it would continue to respond forcefully to any threats posed by the Houthis or other adversaries.

“The IDF will act with force... and is determined to continue striking any threat to the State of Israel, in any area where it is required,” the statement concluded.
