Udupi: Patient dies after ambulance hits divider on way to Manipal hospital

Udupi, Jul 19: A patient being transported to a hospital in Manipal lost his life after the ambulance carrying him hit a road divider on the Udupi–Manipal highway.

The incident occurred opposite MGM College, when the ambulance, which was heading from Koteshwara to Manipal Hospital, reportedly lost control near a road diversion and crashed into the barricades.

Following the accident, the patient was immediately shifted to another ambulance and taken to a private hospital in Manipal, where he breathed his last.

    Dear Muncipal corporate members kindly look into the problems about hygiene j, manhole, muddy puddles, potholes confronting the entire stretch of Udupi _Manipal. The weather is causing havoc when too many pot holes and street lights are inadequate.

    Since our roads have potholes and traffic congestion is at all time high, govt should think about providing air ambulances.
