Udupi: Jyothi Suvarna of Yenagudde passes away in Manipal at 46

Udupi, Jul 9: Jyothi Rajendra Suvarna (46), a long-serving housekeeper at Billava Bhavan and the Guru Narayana Mandir and auditorium in Santacruz East, Mumbai, passed away early Wednesday morning at KMC Hospital, Manipal, after a brief illness.

For over two and a half decades, Jyothi rendered dedicated service at Billava Bhavan and played an active role in all religious, social, and spiritual events organised by the Billava Association Mumbai. Known for her sincerity, artistic talent, and human values, she was well-loved and respected in the community as a warm, friendly individual and a tireless worker who earned everyone’s trust.

Originally from Kamala Nivas, Yenagudde, Katapady in Udupi district, Jyothi had been residing with her family in Royal Garden, Virar West, a suburb of Mumbai. She is survived by her two sons and extended family.

Her last rites were conducted today at her native residence in Yenagudde.

Prominent personalities and organisations, including Rons Bantwal, president of Karnataka Journalists' Association Maharashtra; Harish G Avin, president of Billava Association Mumbai; president L V Amin; former presidents Chandrashekhar S Poojary, Nityananda D Kotian; Bharat Bank executive president Suryakant Jay Suvarna; Lakshman C Poojary Chitrapur, BCCI executive president N T Poojary, Mohini V R Kotian, CA Ashwajit Hejmady, and Sanjeev Poojary Tonse, among others, expressed deep condolences and paid their heartfelt tributes.
