Man dies of severe bleeding after smashing showcase glass in drunken rage near Ullal

Mangaluru, Jul 4: In a tragic incident that unfolded late last night, a 38-year-old man lost his life after sustaining a severe injury from smashing a glass showcase in a drunken state at his home in Madur Site near Ullal.

The deceased has been identified as Nitesh Nayak (38), son of Satish Nayak, a resident of Madur Site. According to sources, Nitesh had a history of frequent arguments with his father and brother, with the disputes continuing at home.

On the night of the incident, in a fit of rage, Nitesh reportedly struck the glass of a showcase inside the house. The shattered glass pierced a major nerve in his hand, causing profuse bleeding that led to his death.

It is learned that Nitesh and his brother were jointly running a food stall business and had returned home after finishing work when the altercation occurred.

Though Nitesh was married, he had been separated from his wife.

Based on a complaint filed by the deceased’s mother, a case has been registered at Ullal police station, and further investigation is underway.
