Tel Aviv, Jul 1: In a significant counter-terrorism breakthrough, Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) successfully neutralised a terror cell that was allegedly plotting a major attack in the region north of Jerusalem. The arrests were made during a series of coordinated overnight operations in and around Ramallah, officials confirmed on Monday.
According to a statement from the IDF, troops uncovered an active explosives laboratory in Ramallah during the raid. The members of the terror cell were taken into custody before they could carry out their intended strike. The IDF has not yet disclosed the specific target or timeline of the planned attack, but military officials hailed the operation as a critical step in safeguarding civilian lives.

Simultaneously, the IDF conducted enforcement actions in the village of Silwad, located northeast of Ramallah. Forces dismantled a compound and multiple construction sites that were reportedly built in violation of local regulations. The operations were part of Israel's broader campaign to curb illegal infrastructure that may pose security risks in the West Bank.
The development comes amid rising tensions in the region, with security forces on high alert for potential escalations. Israeli authorities have reiterated their commitment to preventing terrorist activities and maintaining stability across volatile zones.
