Mangaluru, Jun 28: Following allegations of rising corruption within the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC), Lokayukta officials have continued their investigation, scrutinising documents in the town planning department on Friday.
During the inspection, officials reportedly uncovered irregularities in the Transferable Development Rights (TDR) files. This follows an earlier raid conducted on June 21, when Lokayukta officers examined files across various MCC departments late into the night and detected multiple instances of administrative malpractice and misuse of power.

Subsequently, on June 25, officials examined files in the office of Joint Commissioner Ravi Kumar M.
On Friday, the Lokayukta team resumed file verification and has stated that a comprehensive report will be submitted to the central office. Further action will be taken based on instructions from the headquarters.
