United Loretto Friends Dubai hosts 3rd successful blood donation drive; cultural icons honoured

Media Release

Dubai, Jun 26: United Loretto Friends (ULF), Dubai, successfully organized its third blood donation drive in collaboration with Dubai Health Authority (DHA), under the dedicated guidance of Balakrishna Salian. The event, held on Sunday, June 22, witnessed an overwhelming response from our generous donors coming forward to contribute towards saving lives.

This year’s drive was further strengthened by the valuable support of KLM Group, whose collaboration and participation played a vital role in the success of the initiative. The spirit of community and unity was clearly evident, as people from different walks of life came together for this noble cause.

Adding a special touch to the event were esteemed guests from India — Rayan Magneto and Dr Melwyn Pernal, acclaimed personalities known for their contribution to Konkani cinema through their movie Fondacho Mister. United Loretto Friends proudly felicitated them for their achievements and cultural contribution. The honours were graciously presented by Leena D’Souza and Kushal D’Souza, entrepreneurs and key supporters from the KLM Group.

Rupesh Pinto, president of ULF Dubai, along with the core team and all members, extended heartfelt gratitude to every individual and group who made this third edition of the blood donation drive a grand success.

As a token of appreciation, all donors were personally thanked with certificates and refreshments, acknowledging their selfless act and encouraging continued participation in such life-saving initiatives.

United Loretto Friends continues to uphold its mission of unity & service, bringing together the community through purposeful and impactful events.
