Media Release
Mangaluru, Jun 17: At a time when just 54% of NEET-UG candidates nationally have cleared the exam, students from Centre for Advanced Learning (CFAL) have once again surpassed expectations. Over 95 % of CFAL students have cleared the exam in their very first attempt, compared with the 54 % qualification rate reported nationwide by the National Testing Agency (NTA). CFAL’s NEET results affirm the strength of its academic model.
Key achievements:
•General-category strength: 96 % of CFAL’s general-category examinees have surpassed the UR/EWS cut-off of 144.
•609/720: Chethas Pai V ranked AIR 545 (general-category), placing in the top 0.1% of over 2 million students.
•15% of CFAL students are above the 97th percentile, and 33% scored over 400, a score that typically secures a government MBBS seat.

Importantly, CFAL students didn’t prepare for NEET in isolation. They also appeared for:
• 12th grade board exams
• JEE
• IAT and other national-level entrance exams
“This is not just exam coaching. It’s education that builds academic depth, character, and confidence,” said Vijay Moras, director of CFAL. “While most of the country sees multiple attempts as normal, our students from the South aim to succeed in one. These results are proof that it can be done — and done with grace, balance, and excellence.”
CFAL builds future doctors
•Class size capped at 40: Doubts cleared instantly.
•40+ NTA-style tests annually: Detailed micro-analysis shared after every mock.
•Bi-weekly mentoring: Aligns strategy to each student’s progress.
•Mental wellness: On-campus support, stress workshops, and habit-building routines.
National context: What makes this achievement stand out
The NTA set a lower General cut-off this year (144) in response to a more challenging paper. Despite this, CFAL’s verified pass rate exceeds 95 %, compared with the national average of 54 %. The achievement is particularly notable in Karnataka, where competition for the state’s 12,395 MBBS seats—3,800 of them government—is intense.
India now has over 780 medical colleges, offering 1.18 lakh MBBS seats. Karnataka leads with 12,395 seats, including 3,800 in government colleges — making local success even more competitive.
Next steps for students: NEET counselling process
From scorecard downloads to seat allotment and document verification, candidates now enter the complex counselling stage. CFAL mentors will assist students through:
1. AIQ and state quota registrations
2. Choice filling and locking
3. Round-wise allotments and reporting
4. Ongoing updates for Mop-Up and Stray Vacancy rounds
