Kadaba: Illegal timber transport busted; one arrested

Kadaba, Jun 5: Forest department officials on Wednesday uncovered an illegal timber transport operation on Kanakavana Road in Kodimbala village.

During the operation, they seized 22 mahogany wood blocks worth approximately Rs 2 lac, along with the lorry used for transportation and the crane used for loading.

The lorry driver, Latif from Parappa, has been arrested in connection with the case.

Forest officials are currently gathering information about other suspects involved. The operation was led by Panja range forest officer Sandhya.
