Mangaluru, Jun 4: MP Capt Brijesh Chowta received a grand welcome from BJP workers at the party office in PVS, Mangaluru, on Tuesday, June 4.

Capt Chowta, the Member of Parliament for Dakshina Kannada, recently returned from a significant diplomatic mission as part of a high-level all-party parliamentary delegation. The team undertook a five-nation tour to highlight India’s strong stance against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.

Speaking on the occasion, Capt Chowta said, “On June 4, as Narendra Modi was elected prime minister for the third term, it gave us the courage to carry out Operation Sindoor and send a strong message regarding India’s position on Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.”

He added, “In today’s era of misinformation, Prime Minister Modi took the initiative to send delegations worldwide to counter false narratives and reaffirm our national position. The Pahalgam attack on April 22, where attackers questioned our religion and existence, was clearly aimed at provoking communal tensions between Hindus and Muslims.”

Describing the operation, Capt Chowta said, “Operation Sindoor was executed on May 7, during which nine targets were neutralised 300 km inside Pakistan. This was a complex mission involving precise intelligence, coordinated efforts, and high-end equipment. We should be proud of this achievement.”

He further stated that the central government had issued clear directives to ensure that the international community understands the consequences of supporting or allowing terror activities. “Operation Sindoor is not yet over,” he remarked.

Criticising the state government, he said, “The Siddaramaiah 2.0 government is anti-Hindu, anti-people, and deeply corrupt. They are using the police department to intimidate Hindu organizations and leaders. This is unacceptable. We will not be silenced, and Hindu leaders will remain united and strong.”
