Tel Aviv, May 20: In a precision operation earlier on Monday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched an airstrike targeting the Houla region in southern Lebanon, successfully eliminating a member of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan force.

According to Israeli military sources, the strike was part of a broader effort to neutralize active threats originating from the Lebanese border. The Radwan force is a specialized unit within the Hezbollah terrorist organization and is known for carrying out cross-border attacks and infiltration attempts into Israeli territory.

The IDF confirmed that the targeted individual was involved in planning and executing hostile operations against Israel. The action underscores the continued tension along the northern front, where Hezbollah operatives have repeatedly launched rockets and attempted incursions in recent months.

Monday's airstrike comes amid heightened security alerts in northern Israel, with the IDF maintaining a vigilant posture to counter any emerging threats from Hezbollah strongholds in Lebanon.
