Tehran, May 10: As the fourth round of indirect Iran-US talks approaches, Iran has confirmed the presence of its technical delegation. Speaking to the media, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei clarified, "I can comment on our delegation. The delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, consisting of experts and specialists needed at this stage of the talks, will be in the service of our country."
His remarks come amid reports that Sunday’s negotiations in Oman will focus on high-level discussions. Sources told CNN that the upcoming session is expected to chart a broader diplomatic framework, with technical teams usually tasked with complex issues like sanctions relief — not scheduled to attend.
“It was appropriate to have the next round of talks at the principals level,” a source familiar with the matter said, indicating the importance of political decision-making in this phase of negotiations
