Mumbai, May 10: Amid the ongoing Indo-Pak conflict, the Maharashtra government has issued heightened security directives to fishermen operating along the Palghar coast, urging increased vigilance to safeguard India’s maritime borders.

According to an official speaking on Friday, the directives were implemented following a high-level meeting with senior Indian Navy officials focused on boosting coastal surveillance.

To strengthen monitoring efforts, the state is also working to equip fishing boats with transponders to enable real-time tracking of their movements.
