Fresh incidents of stone pelting reported in Karkala

Karkala, May 3: Two more incidents of stone pelting have been reported in Karkala taluk in the aftermath of the murder of Suhas Shetty.

In the first incident, two unidentified masked men pelted stones at the front glass of a Tamil Nadu-registered fishing truck, which was returning to Tamil Nadu after loading fish from Malpe. The incident occurred near Kemaru Parpale, with an estimated loss of Rs 1,500.

In the second incident, a private route bus travelling from Karkala to Belman was targeted by bike-borne miscreants. Two individuals on a motorcycle threw stones at the front glass of the bus, causing damage estimated at Rs 45,000.

Cases have been registered within the limits of the Karkala rural police station.
