Brahmavar, May 1: In response to recent protests demanding proper service roads and a flyover in Brahmavar, Udupi–Chikkamagaluru MP Kota Srinivas Poojary visited black spots in the town on Thursday, May 1 and instructed officials to begin immediate construction of service roads.

During his visit to the black spot near Mahesh Hospital junction, Kota Srinivas Poojary directed highway authorities to commence the construction of a 500-metre service road from SMS College to the junction.

The move is expected to ease traffic congestion and reduce accidents at the junction. The demand for better road infrastructure had intensified after a schoolboy was fatally hit by a car while crossing the road. The tragic incident led to widespread public protests, with residents repeatedly urging authorities to provide proper service roads and a flyover in the area.
