Work from car: Bengaluru IT woman fined for using laptop while driving

Bengaluru, Feb 13: A woman working on her laptop while driving was fined by the RT Nagar traffic police.

A video of the woman operating her laptop while driving in the RT Nagar police station limits went viral on social media. Based on the vehicle's number plate visible in the video, the police traced the woman and took action.

On Wednesday, she was fined Rs 1,000 for over-speeding and negligent driving, officials confirmed.

Commenting on the incident, north division DCP (Traffic) advised people to work from home instead of from their cars while driving.

    You cannot work from laptop while driving. It is cheating while driving by showing the face to the laptop while driving. Her company should be worried if they have put a liveliness tool to check on their employees through the laptop camera.
