Mangaluru: Tempo-scooter collision claims life of young scooter rider in Ullal

Mangaluru, Jan 17: In a tragic accident, a scooter rider lost his life in a collision between a tempo and a scooter at Nadupadavu near Kattukodi. The victim has been identified as Abubakar Siddiq Razwi (22), son of Moydeen Kunja Bavu, a resident of Nadupadavu.

The accident occurred this morning when a scooter traveling from Deralakatte collided with an Ace Tempo heading from Mudipu towards Thokkottu.

Abubakar Siddiq was a final-year student at an Arabic Shariah College in Kasargod. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

The tempo driver also sustained injuries in the incident. The Mangaluru south traffic police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.

    Police are not controlling driver behaviour at all. People are driving around like they are drunk, all the time taking risks, especially wrong side driving.
