Kundapur: Mother of Byndoor block Cong prez killed in road accident

Kundapur, Apr 27: In a road accident that occurred on Friday, Shobha G Billava (65), the mother of Aravind Poojary, the block Congress president, was killed.

Shobha was the wife of the late Narayana Billava. She had attended the wedding of her relatives on Friday afternoon. Around 2:15 pm, she was crossing the highway in front of Nagu Palace near Hangaluru when a Bolero pickup, moving from Kundapur to Udupi, struck her.

Thrown onto the road due to the impact of the collision, Shobha died on the spot. Kundapur traffic police arrived at the scene and registered a case.
