Mumbai: Bunts Sangha celebrates Annual Bisu Parbha

Mumbai, Apr 16: Bunts Sangh Mumbai organized Annual Bisu Parba, Sri Mahavishnu Buntara Yaksha Kala Vedike anniversary, Bunts Day, World Buntara Day and Buntara Sangha 2024 annual get together at Radhabai Thimmappa Bhandary Sabhagriha of Buntara Bhavan, Kurla East Chunnabhatti last Sunday. Under the presidential of president Praveen Bhoja Shetty, Bunts hoisted the flag and declared Jai Bunts and proceeded to the Panch Utsav with Bunts Day celebrations. Nyra Praveen Shetty poured milk and water and greeted Bisu Parba. 

The 97 years old Buntara Sangha is ready for the centenary and we all have to get ready together. At present the Bunts Sangha has about 2000 active members and a good service team. Let's use this as strength for the betterment of the society and handle the duty of service with time consciousness. Praveen Shetty expressed his opinion in the presidential speech that Buntara Sangh is belongs to all Bunts, all should come to this Bhavan. 

Krishna Y Shetty, chairman of Krishna Palace Hotel Group, Ulthur Mohandas Shetty, chairman of Matrubhumi Co-operative Credit Society Limited and Bunts Sangha vice president Mahesh S Shetty, honorary general, secretary Dr R K Shetty, honourary treasurer CA Ramesh B Shetty, joint secretary Girish Shetty Tellar, joint treasurer Innanje Shasidhar K.Shetty, ladies wing chairperson Chitra R Shetty, and youth wing chairman Savin J Shetty were on the stage.

Kananjaru Anand Shetty Memorial Award 2024 which is given annually by Bunts Sangha was honoured by Yakshagana artist Suresh Shetty Kananjaru and Prema Narayana Rai award sponsored by Jyoti R N Shetty was presented to author and poet Savita Arun Shetty. In this time Dr Suneeta M Shetty, K K Shetty, Uma Krishna Shetty, Ranjani Sudhakar Hegde, Kavita I R Shetty, Vanitha Y Nonda, Jaya A Shetty and others office bearers were present. 

In the evening Bunts Sangh celebrated Mumbai Bunts Day and 2024 annual get together in the evening with Aikala Harish Shetty, president of Fedaration of World Bunts Association as chief guest, R Rajesh Shetty of Shankar Electrical Services (I) Pvt Ltd as guest of honour, Maharashtra IG K M Mallikarjuna Prasanna (IPS) as special guest. Star charmer and choreographer of hot dance programme, choreographers dance masters Tushar Shetty and Rahul Shetty, former presidents of Bunts Sangh Mumbai Sudhakar S Hegde and Bolyaguttu Vivek Shetty, principal of Vivek College of Commerce Goregaon Dr Vijaya S Shetty, national gold medal winning athlete Saroj Pushparaj Shetty and BSM vice president Mahesh S Shetty, honorary general secretary Dr R K Shetty, honorary treasurer CA Ramesh B Shetty, joint secretary Girish Shetty Tellar, joint treasurer Innanje Shashidhar K Shetty, Ladies Wing chairperson Chitra R Shetty, youth wing chairman Savin J Shetty, and Bunts Sangh Literary-cultural committee chairman Naveen Shetty Innabalike were seated on the podium.

The annual 'Lifetime Achievement Award' given annually by the Bunts Sangha was given to Sudhakar S Hegde, 'Best Sadhana Awards’ sponsored by Dr P V Shetty. Late Ramanath S Payyade Memorial 'Best Bunt Performer of the Year Male-2024 Award' to B Vivek Shetty and Dr Manohar Hegde and Asha Manohar Hegde Sponsored 'Shefali Manohar Hegde Memorial Best Bunt Achiever Woman of the Year-2024 Award' by renowned principal Dr Vijaya S Shetty, the 'Best Performer Award' of the year was presented to Dr R K Shetty, Chirag Shetty sportsperson award to Saroj Pushparaj Shetty and  Raghu P Shetty, nominated catering services by Santosh Caterers, Bunts practitioners, Dr Umavati Shetty, Sudhir Jaya Shetty of Bureaucrat Service, 105 Centenarian Gudda Venka Shetty (Senior Citizen), chartered accountant profession. CA Prabhakar Shetty was honoured and felicitated. 

On this occasion, the award sponsors Dr P V Shetty, Mundappa S Payyade, Gaurav R Payyade, Varun Payyade, Dr Manohar Hegde, Asha Manohar Hegde, Ranjani Sudhakar S Hegde, Rama V Shetty, CA Sanjeeva Shetty, Anita R K Shetty, Varija R Shetty, Reshma S Shetty, Pushpalatha P Shetty and family members of the awardees were present on the stage. 

Trustees of the association, current and former presidents, office bearers, executive committee members, working presidents of various committees, regional coordinators, regional committees ladies and youth wing members and dignitaries in traditional attire participated in the celebration. 

Ponfit Vedamoorti Nagendra Bhat Kadiyali performed the Pooja and offered prasad and blessed the celebration. Cultural programmes started with Ganesh Vandane. The members of the nine regional committees of Bunts Sangha presented cultural splendor by women and youth wing. Under the direction of Yakshaguru Ajekaru Balakrishna Shetty, the artistes of Sri Mahavishnu Krupa Buntara Yaksha Kala Vedike performed 'Muthaisi Bhagya' Yakshagana with the Bagavatike of Dr Satish Shetty (AJ Mangaluru). Karnoor Mohan Rai compered the cultural programme. 

Praveena Prakash Shetty and Shobha Surendra Shetty, Vijay Shetty offered Moodbelle prayers. Dr R.K Shetty welcomed the gathering. Naveen Shetty Innabalike deliver introductory speech. Girish Shetty Tellar invited donors’ dignitaries to honour on dais. President Praveen Bhoja Shetty and former working presidents of the cultural department Dr Tonse Vijayakumar Shetty, Ravindranath M Bhandary, Karnoor Mohan Rai, Ashok Pakkala honoured the guests. Karnoor Mohan Rai and Ashok Pakkala compared the programme and deliver vote of thanks.
