Karkala: Theme Park Hitarakshana Samithi to reinstall Parashuram statue on Umikal hill

Karkala, Mar 27: Karkala Parashuram Theme Park Hitarakshana Samithi was formed on March 18 to reinstall the statue of Parashuram at Umikal hill. Parashurama is called the creator of the coast.

The first meeting of the samithi was held at the Mathura hotel on March 25 under the leadership of K Krishnamurthy and Krishna Shetty Bajagoli, honorary president and the president respectively of the samithi. Samithi advisor Vishwas V Ameen, vice president Nallur Pradeep Shetty, Nithin Poojary, Beluvai, chief secretary Pradeep Kulal Kantavara, joint secretary Santhosh Bola and joint treasurer Havaldar Bettu Shashidhar were present. Samithi members Perdoor Navin Salian, Vignesh Cherkadi, Harish Poojary Kadtala, Dinesh Kumar Hebri Shara and Marne Rajesh Shetty held discussions on the blue print of the project.

Honorary president K Krishnamurthy Acharya spoke about the part of the samithi to create awareness about the project and the planning of the future campaign. President Krishna Shetty Bajagoli explained how the future days in this connection will be decisive. He explained the need for awareness about Hindu religion, the deities, Parashuram and the protection of Sanatana Dharma in every taluk and gram level. The samithi members said that they need to discuss with the public and elected representatives to reinstall the statue at the government level.
