Beltangady: Man enters shop, abuses staff, robs good worth Rs 5.49 lac

Beltangady, Mar 15: A man allegedly barged into a shop that is situated at Suvarna Arcade of Santhekatte under Kasaba village and robbed goods and cash worth Rs 5.49 lac on March 14.

As per the complaint filed by Sudeep (24), resident of Savanalu village in the taluk, he runs a YouTube channel from his shop at Suvarna Arcade of Santhekatte. On the evening of Thursday, March 14, accused Prateek Kotian entered the shop and abused Kripesh, staff who works in the shop and robbed video cameras worth Rs 4.8 lac, CC camera worth Rs 7000 and Rs 62000 cash that was kept in the drawer. The total value of the robbed goods is Rs 5.49 lac.

When the complainant and owner of the shop called the accused and enquired about his act, he was threatened.

A case in this regard is filed in Beltangady police station.
