Udupi CMC to become paperless in next 3 months - Commissioner

Udupi, Mar 12:  “In the next three months Udupi city municipality office will be completely paperless office” said CMC Commissioner Rayappa.

He was speaking at the face-off programme organised by Udupi Consumers Forum with the governmental officials and people's representatives.

Addressing the public, he said  “Udupi city municipality is highly regarded and appreciated among all the 28 city municipality councils in the state for its effective management of finance. By various sources we generate a revenue of around Rs 40-45 crore every year” he said.

Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna inaugurated the programme. In his address he said “Consumer Forum is spreading awareness among the public. The main reason for people’s problems is all the governmental departments are facing staff shortage. I had instructed the officials to reserve at least 3 hours of working time to the elderly and senior citizens. If the government officials work honestly there won't be any problems” he said.

Gurme Suresh Shetty, MLA Kaup in his address said, “As life gets going it also becomes difficult too. Today 80% of the governmental work is taking place through online mode. We have to update ourselves for this. Positive thinking can make many changes in the administration” he said.

Gururaj, tahsildar Ganaraj Bhat, MESCOM engineer participated in the meeting. AP Kodancha, former convener, welcomed the gathering.  Harikrishna Shivattaya compered.
