Vicennial celebration of Bahrain Billavas – Shivadhoota Gulige drama to be staged on Feb 9

Bahrain, Feb 1: The NRI Billava community organization of the island nation, Bahrain Billavas is celebrating its vicennial anniversary. As a part of this, popular Tulu drama Shivadhoota Gulige will be presented on Friday, February 9, at 5 pm at the Bahrain Kerala Samajam auditorium at Sagaya.

Sangama Kalavidaru will play the drama that is directed by Vijay Kumar Kodialbail, renowned director of Tulu drama field. Swaraj Shetty of Kantara movie fame will be the protagonist of the drama. This is the 579th successful show of the drama. Recently Shivadhoota Gulige drama team celebrated its 555th show at Mangaluru.

The ticket release programme and unveiling of the poster of the Bahrain show was done recently at the Kannada Bhavana auditorium recently. The programme began by offering pooja to Brahmarshee Narayana Guru and Kotichennaya. The poster was unveiled by Harish Poojary, president of Bahrain Billavas in the presence of Mahesh Kumar, acting president of Kannada Sangha and other office bearers in unique style.

Speaking on the occasion, Harish Poojary said that this is a big budget programme and cooperation of everyone is required. Hundreds of drama lovers gathered at the programme. The tickets were handed over to them.

The programme was compered by chief secretary Roopesh Suvarna of Bahrain Billavas. He also rendered vote of thanks. All equipment required for the drama have reached the Island nation.
