Mangaluru: Migrant worker arrested for attempted molestation of girl

Mangaluru, Jun 9: A migrant worker from Uttar Pradesh, identified as Ramu, was apprehended by local residents after attempting to molest a young girl returning from work in Talapady this evening.

The incident occurred when the girl was on her way home from work in Mangaluru. The man, identified as Ramu, sexually harassed her during the journey. Frightened, the girl raised an alarm, prompting nearby residents to rush to her aid. They apprehended the suspect and dealt with him accordingly.

The Ullal police station was informed, and officers arrived at the scene, taking the suspect into custody.

A case has been registered at the Ullal police station in connection with the incident.

    This is a very serious issue. He may be a serial offender and might have got caught just this time. POCSO act shud be imposed on him. If released he may attempt again and may be not het caught The girl was lucky that she could successfully raise alarm

    These north Indian crook state people dont have any moral values and dont care about women at all....most of the people who have criminal background dont go to bigger places like Mumbai and Bangalore if they have any criminal cases on them....instead they prefer places like mangalore to live isolated.....careful when u hire one of these people , get their background checked.....most of the while they dont have any documentation

    just wondering no video or photo of this culprit is taken? in kundapur case where the culprit is a minority all the majority guys pounced and made video and took his photo...here because the culprit is a majority guy no such halla gulla....the blue j pigs are successful to a major extent in dividing the social fabric in dk and udupi.. luckily in other parts of Karnataka better sense still prevails...in dk and udupi as far as Congress supporters are there..there is some hope for minority...

    Jossey S.Mumbai,how much it helps banning PUP people and our own Deshi people are troubling girls more than other ?Fault is our punishment to such acts are very poor ,almost none.If a strict action and punishment was there ,noone would dare to molest girls ,rape and kill.I suggest girls should learn self defence methods and teach these goons a good lesson.Dont wait for a Batman to come and help you.
