M'luru: 10th day Tredicina devotion preceding annual feast of St Anthony of Padua held at Milagres

Mangaluru, Jun 9: The 10th day of Tredicina devotion preceding the annual feast of St Anthony of Padua was held on June 9, at St Anthony Shrine, Milagres Church, Mangaluru. Fr Praveen Leo Lasrado, Gladsom Home Minor Seminary, Jeppu celebrated the Eucharistic and prayed for the elderly along with Fr J B Crasta and Fr Nelson Peres, St Anthony Ashram, Jeppu.

Fr Praveen preached on the theme, 'Friendliness of the Word of God, fills our life with Godliness'. Fr Praveen said, “Love for the Word of God makes me more loving, more caring, gentler, more forgiving, more sensitive, more compassionate, and the list can go on.” He further said that when we manifest our inner quality of love and compassion with the people around, we become more humane and bring glory to God.

At the end of the mass, Fr Nelson Peres, assistant director of the Ashram led the novena in honour of St Anthony, during which the special intercession of the session was sought for the various needs and prayer intentions of the devotees.

Choir members of Valencia parish led the choir and joined in the thanksgiving. Payasam (sweet dish) was served to all the devotees who attended the devotion.
