On Daijiworld’s 23rd birthday, a note of thanks as charity crosses Rs 26 cr

Mangaluru, Jan 14, 2023

Every year, the auspicious occasion of Makara Sankranti brings us enormous happiness and pride. Born on January 14, 2001, daijiworld.com today stands tall as one of the fastest-growing media outlets, reaching hundreds of thousands of readers and viewers through our website, television, radio and social media platforms. Looking back, we have had an incredible journey of 22 years, each day nothing short of a challenge, and each challenge a new opportunity to learn. Our innovative ideas have borne sweet fruit and helped us keep pace with ever-evolving technology. Young and experienced minds in our institution with their relentless, spirited teamwork have enhanced the Daijiworld brand. Thanks to our loyal readers, advertisers, sponsors and team members, we are now the undisputed leader in regional online and television media.

Our social media presence:

We are proud to have achieved the milestone of 500,000 subscribers on Daijiworld TV YouTube channel, a first for a regional TV channel. Similarly, our Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp followers and subscribers have increased exponentially during the last year. Our strong social media presence has helped us reach far and wide, enabling us to transmit news in the fastest way possible. We are grateful to each one of you who is connected to us through social media. Readership for Daijiworld.com (both Kannada and English) is increasing sharply year after year. This year too we have seen around 15% growth in the readership with a total of 1.6 million unique viewers per month.

Stany Bela - New programme director:

Stany Bela, who joined Daijiworld in the year 2017 as a correspondent, has now been promoted as the programme director of Daijiworld Television, and he is also our team leader in Daijiworld.com. Handling multiple responsibilities, he has been climbing the ladder of success step by step with his steadfast dedication, commitment and sincerity. We wish him the best in his new role.

Charity mission crosses Rs 26 crore mark:

A key focus of our media house has been to extend a helping hand to people in need. Our motto 'direct from donors to beneficiary' has helped transform hundreds of lives, and the mission is still going strong. Through Daijiworld.com and TV media, readers and viewers from across the globe have reached out to people in need of aid (medical, education and other needs). The cumulative amount generated has crossed Rs 26 crore in the last 22 years, which is a phenomenal achievement. We are happy that we have been able to contribute to social causes while being committed to our primary goal of bringing news, information and entertainment to people from all walks of life, and we have done so irrespective of religion, region, caste etc. Unfortunately, due to various factors and our limitations, it is not possible to accommodate each and every appeal that comes our way, but we have done our best to reach out to maximum people. This has been possible only because of the unwavering trust and support of our generous readers. We will continue our mission in being a conduit for social change. This figure is only for information, we will strives to do more in the coming days.

A message on Daijiworld.com's 23rd birthday will be incomplete without thanking each and every staff member, without mentioning any names. We owe our success to the sincere efforts, dedication, and commitment of our team members.

As always, our directors are our inspiration and strength. We have been able to achieve this success due to their constant support and sacrifices.

We look forward to continued support from our readers, well-wishers, agencies, advertisers, sponsors, and team members. We anticipate a busy, eventful year ahead, and with your support, we hope to continue our efforts in bringing you accurate news as and when it happens and keep you entertained through our television channel for many more years, besides expanding our wings with new ventures.

May the year 2023 bring us lots of happiness, peace and prosperity, and importantly, let us pray for a more healthy world.

God Bless the Daiji, and their benefactors. In my entire adult life I have seen or heard of someone in dire straits crying for help. Besides, the generous hearts of readers, philanthropist and religious organizations there are very few sources of help for those in desperate need. However, there is a giver fatigue, as the number of have nots increase and so I suggest that Daiji take the initiative to set up a Registered Charity to manage a permanent fund. The moneys donated to this fund should be invested in projects that will give a good return, and the returns on this money could constantly be used to help all those in need.

More than that those hearts that experienced love, compassion, encouragement and strength are numerous. Even the widow's mite is noted and admired by Jesus.
