Mangaluru: Police bust prostitution racket in rented house at Kotekar, arrest four

Mangaluru, Dec 7: Ullal police raided a rented house near primary health centre, Kotekar Beeri where prostitution was in progress with young girls. The police arrested four people including a couple.

The arrested were the rented house residents Mohammed Iqbal, his wife Aliamma, Ullal resident Sharfuddin and Irshad Adyanadka. They were later produced in the court.

Mohamed Iqbal is the prime accused in the case. It is said that he was running a prostitution racket at Pilar and Kapikad in the past. He used to lie to his neighbours that he is related to an MLA. Sharfuddin used to supply young girls to him for prostitution.

The police arrested the four accused on definite information. Irshad Adyanadka was one of the customers. The police rescued the victimised girls.

    Are you supporting them or opposing prostitution activity? J. Anata asked this question. My answer is in a residential area definitely nono because young girls are black mailed and brainwashed. This is the 4 th incident in residential vicinity by married couple doing this business. This is grave situation and contaminating social fabric by families. Hypocrisy is reached to the highest.
