Mangaluru: ‘Med-Intro’ – New batch of MBBS students welcomed at KMC

Mangaluru, Dec 5: Vice chancellor MAHE Manipal Lt Gen Dr MD Venkatesh inaugurated Med-Intro 2022, an orientation programme and white coat donning ceremony of new MBBS batch of Kasturba Medical College (KMC) at TMA Pai hall on Monday December 5.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr M D Venkatesh said, “It is always a special occasion to welcome a new batch of students. KMC is consistently ranked high in international ranking agencies and it is a unique opportunity to study at the best place.

“I urge the students to take extra precautionary measures as the pandemic is not completely away and use the laid out guidelines,” he said and stressed on maintaining punctuality and time management and giving importance for others’ time.

Meanwhile, the dignitaries released an information booklet and calendar.

Dean KMC Mangaluru Dr B Unnikrishnana welcomed the gathering and Dr Saraswathi Sriram compered the event.

Pro vice-chancellor Mangaluru campus MAHE Manipal Dr Dilip G Nayak, pro-chancellor health sciences MAHE Manipal Dr M Venkataraya Prabhu, associate dean student affairs Dr B Suresh Kumar Shetty, associate dean research and administration Dr Pramod Kumar, associate dean academics and international collaboration Dr Srikala Baliga were present.
