Some Endings Bring New Hopes

December 11, 2025

Time flies quickly when we are happy, goes slowly when we are sad, and seems to get stuck when we are in trouble. Time moves at its own pace. For some people, the year 2025 passed very quickly, while others are eagerly waiting for this difficult year to end, hoping for better days in the coming one.

Everyone has different perspectives on endings and beginnings. We all know there is no definite end or beginning to happiness — it is all about our thought process. We need not wait for a new year or a new month to start something good, yet we always tend to wait for the “right time,” and frankly speaking, there is no such thing. The moment we decide to act is the right time. By waiting for the perfect moment, we end up wasting time, procrastinating, and inviting laziness into our lives.

Before this year ends, let us cherish the good moments and appreciate ourselves for bravely facing the tough times. This year too brought many ups and downs — we met new people, lost a few old ones, and strengthened bonds with some. In life, no one we meet comes without purpose. Every person adds something to our journey — either a lesson or support.

Have you ever wondered why we wait for something to end before beginning anew? It’s because somewhere, we lose hope. Hope is the one powerful element that can create wonders. It is okay to lose anything in life, but never lose hope, no matter what. When times are tough, even a small ray of hope gives us strength and courage to move one step ahead and give ourselves another chance. When efforts fail and we feel surrounded by defeat, it is hope that whispers, “Try again. Push a little harder.” Having hope is extremely important in every situation.

Bad times are not permanent in anyone’s life — they too have an end. Often, it is our overthinking that magnifies a problem and makes it look bigger than it actually is. Our mind fills itself with negativity and turns small issues into demons. Staying strong and positive during tough times is a challenge. Difficult phases bring loneliness — the kind where we avoid sharing our struggles with our loved ones because we don’t want to worry them.

Stress, work pressure, and negative thoughts sometimes become so powerful that they make us feel helpless and push us into darkness. But this is exactly when we must gather strength to fight through.

It is never too late for a comeback. Every setback is a sign that our best version is still within us — that we can do even better. A beautiful lesson to learn is from ants. When they move in a row and we try to interrupt them, they simply climb over our fingers and continue ahead. They don’t stop. If ants don’t give up, why should we?

Ups and downs are a part of life. Every day will not be the same. Everyone’s life is filled with challenges and hardships, but at the same time, there is always hope that even this time will pass and everything will eventually be fine.

As we step into the last month of 2025, it is time to face reality. The new year resolutions, dreams, and plans we made at the beginning of the year will now be reflected upon. Some dreams may have turned into reality, while some plans may not have worked out. But what matters most is that, despite everything, we still hold hope — hope to rebuild ourselves and hope to fulfil our desires in the coming year.
