What is Love..?

What is Love..?
What is love?
A feeling that makes your heart skip a beat,
Brings you peace even on a noisy street.
A cozy home to return to after a busy day,
A person, a hand to hold when life turns grey.
A pet whose cuddles brings you calm,
A favourite dish that makes your tummy feel warm.

Love, with all its different forms,
but the purest of them all, is that
of a mother towards her new-born.
Love is not always about the highs,
it's also about the lows,
Just like a father who holds his child's hand,
and never let’s go.

Love yourself as you grow up,
coz life will give you many reasons for self-doubt.
As love is being happy and satisfied with oneself,
for only then can you share it with someone else.

A lover's heart has no demands or conditions,
for love doesn't need to be perfect
it accepts imperfections.
Love isn't always about extravagant gestures with red roses and candle-light dinners
It's the promise to never let go and stay together for better or worse,
in poverty and wealth,
in sickness and health,
to thrive and cherish,
until separated by death.

Finally,
Love isn't about finding the perfect match,
Nor is it about finding the best catch,
Love is your favourite bunch of mix and match!
For it is love that makes a house, a home
Fills the world with hope,
If not a ton, atleast an ounce,
Spread love wherever you go,
a beautiful habit you won't renounce!
