Along the Pathway of Life

February 5, 2018

Life is all about today's wonderful moment, cherishing yesterday and hoping for the morrow. This is how life takes us on to unknown distances, strange experiences, down rocky cliffs, past relaxing rivulets and storming clouds. Life is one great mystery that explores the realities of humanity, masters the spirit for toughness and encourages the being.

Yes indeed, life is a journey down the wilderness; sometimes a stroll through the woods and at times a journey down the mountains but passing by all the goods and bads of life wouldn't take you to the moment when you started it all. Your pain of today would not take you to your happiest moment ten years back. Life is mandatory, something wherein the individual is forced to carry on and face the goodness and harshness.

Every human being on the earth in times of confusion desires out of his heart to travel down to the days of old when life was all so sweet, when the burden of reality hadn't weighed upon them as heavily as it is today. There was a time in our lives when life was all about playing, screaming, crying, going out with parents by your side to pick you up when you trip down, wipe away your tears when you have cried your eyes out and cheer you up by offering sweets and vain promises. Good and bad times come and go, playing their parts at different points of our life but ultimately we are left with facing both of it all through our lives. The sweetness of life can be relished only when we are faced with pain and dolor. A life full of merry, smiles and joy with no tears and sorrow would be more like a dish which hasn’t an alternative flavor which will gradually bore the interests of the people.

But the past is always wonderful to be relished and its joys are ever to be thought over. Life starts off with babyhood, a period when you are at perfect peace, when you have people to administer to you always. Futher on we are faced with childhood, a time when life is at the peak of fun, silliness, cheekiness and absolute freedom of the spirit and the soul. The most adventurous point of life that is adolescence makes its way into our lives, when we think greatly of ourselves and small of others. Finally adulthood and then oldage. Life is a long way to travel. We have to journey down the lane with joy bound in our hearts and hope bubbling within ourselves to press on to the end. But at times life seems so insecure, confusing and peculiar but when we are faced with the harshness of reality we have to let out ourselves into the arms of the pains of this life and challenge it boldly, fight as warriors and emerge as victors.

While in this journey of life, pressing forward seems tough, challenging seems foolish and victory over tribulations is all a dream but that is how it is.It all seems impossible and arduous but once you start dealing well with it, letting out the positive vibes shape your problem, the stability of the mind tease away your worry and the hardness of your heart feel no pain, life will definitely be a child's play, something that is simple and easy.

In fact the pain we have to endure and the sorrows of this life are all about how well we handle them. Your pain, sorrow, problem or anything of the sort would be tiny as a seed but the way you take it is what matters. If you think about it over and over again and go on worrying about it, this tiny seed would grow into a tree. On the other hand even if you have to face problems as huge as the mountains, treating it as though it were a seed, your mountain-like-problems could shrink down into a tiny herb, so frail and weak. Your life depends on the way you look at it, the way you treat it and the way you handle it.If you handle it well, it would favor you well, if you make a pile out of it, it would gradually turn out to be a winding tower, if you laugh over it, it would join well with you and if you prove you are tough for anything, it would tremble before you.

Life isn't anything about choosing between the good and bad moments it is about facing everything with the right attitude. Travelling down the path of life it is up to us to stay strong and challenge boldly and emerge victorious.

Moreover, “Life is like the morning glory that blooms in the morning and withers off in the evening.” All these pains and sorrows shall wither off at the end of the day and these moments of merry will wear off too.

There is a streak of maturity coursing through this special article which is remarkable for a student still in college. I came upon several quotable quotes like the following:
"...adolescence makes its way into our lives when we think greatly about ourselves and small of others." "... when we are faced with the harshness of reality we have to let out ourselves into the arms of the pains of this life and challenge it boldly, fight as warriors and emerge as victors."
I think Sonia has just started her journey as a creative writer and I am sure she will go to great heights. Best wishes, Sonia!
