The Outsider

The Outsider

She did not differentiate in joy and sorrow

She did not avoid any friend and any foe

She did not realize whose a predator, whose a confider

Everywhere she felt like an Outsider

Some games they played which she never played before

Some stories they told totally new, unheard

Weird and mysterious she felt it all was

Never had a home and yet kept flying like a bird

Couldn’t understand who's a joiner and who's a divider

Everywhere she felt like an OUTSIDER

The blood under her skin was warm thick and flowing

But she felt the surface usually goose bumped and cold

Numb dumb and unnoticed she was almost every time

And suddenly grew unexpectedly bold

Within her own flesh she's been eaten, world webbing her like a spewing spider

Everywhere she felt like an OUTSIDER

Yet she knows when she's gone people will be confused

Defused by her knowledge so profound and profuse

Her warm chocolate melted golden eyes will haunt them like voodoo

The harm they've done they'll cry to undo

Spirit will float away soon and her heart and soul will get lighter

She'll be welcomed with roar and galore to a place where she will no longer ever be an OUTSIDER.
