Finding Mr Perfect

February 14, 2013 (Valentine's Day)

Finding Mr Perfect

I saw a guy one day with dull green eyes and a smile that could melt u right there-
He was so charming, I could not help but stand and stare!
His charms played along with every girl and he didn’t seem to care...
I din want a broken heart, so I told myself, “Beware!!”

In my college there was this really cute guy-
We never spoke once but looked at each other every time we passed by,
The shy smile he gave was sweeter than apple pie
Those days are over but his sweetness will be carried to the day I die.

I saw a guy one day while taking a walk in the park-
Two twinkling eyes, a smiling face-he seemed like god’s favorite piece of work!
He looked so peaceful and was handsomely dark,
But when he spoke, I realized I’d rather hear a dog bark!!

Someone caught my eyes while I was shopping at the mall-
A stranger man with blue eyes, so gorgeous and tall.
Perfect features, attractive looks-he had it all!!
Then I see his ladylove beside him-she was as pretty as a doll!!

Once in a wedding, across the hall, I noticed a pair of eyes that were brown-
He flashed his dimples with a mischievous grin-he was definitely the cutest guy in town!
He was my knight in a shining armor-in his dreams I did drown!!
He got up and walked, that’s when I realized he had dressed like a clown!

My eyes searched the hopeless streets all day
It looked like all good looking men were either occupied or gay
‘Patience is a virtue’ I’ve heard people say
So I’m going to wait until Mr Perfect comes my way!!

Thank you all for your opinions and support. This is just a humorous way of conveying how it is impossible to find a perfect person and so we have to look for a beautiful heart and adjust with the imperfections.

Perfection is a state of mind!
Nobody is perfect on this earth
Neither in looks nor at heart
    Looks are deceptive……
    Find someone whose love lasts

You will never find Mr. Perfect
    Don’t fool yourself for ages
Trying to find your Mr. Perfect
Later regret the golden days passed
    And weep bitterly for days.

Girls don’t dream of Mr. Perfect
    That leaves you shattered when
    Things don’t work right
He may leave you for one with better looks
    There you lay dismayed forever.

Reading your poem, I felt that your Mr. Perfect is entirely based on his appearance. You can can never judge a person only by his looks. Beauty lies within the person's heart.
PS- I am not saying this because i am not good looking or something. I am not. I am also in the search of Ms.Perfect, but to judge a person entirely based on appearance is completely wrong. You need to know the person as well.

It is your choice to wait for a Mr. Right.....I know a girl who waited for a Mr.Right and got married at the age of 44 and her Mr.Right at the age of 50...! Although he may be a Mr.Right, I doubt how long he may be Mr.Right in her life

Very nice poem. Poems are not necessarily about the personal experience of the Poet. Same feelings with men in finding Miss Perfect! Less than perfect will become perfect as you live together with little adjustments.

People.. people.. this is a beautiful and extremely text book quality poem. Do not insult the pretty cute poet by saying the poet is writing on her own life. The beauty and knowledge of a poet is appreciated when he can take the role and write on that. Dont think the poor girl is actually waiting for her prince right. she is just an excellent poet.!

    Dear Varshini-
Wait till we meet! Ha! But like I have commented in these columns many times before there's nobody like a Mr. Perfect. You have to adjust. And for that you have to have 'Tact'. Ever heard of a Mrs Perfect?? Idhar Bhi- Adjust Karna Padtaa Hai! Life is all about adjustments- Varshini. Sigh-Double Sigh(!!)And by the way 'Tact' you have and ample in writing!Carry on writing......
