Life... A Few Thoughts

September 28, 2012

Life... A Few Thoughts

“Dust thou art and to dust thou returneth”

Budding life, so beautifully erected

Often coldly rejected

Yet, what goes around must come back around

What goes up must come down

Live high, so though you are destined to fall

Your hand print might stay

High on the wall

Of accomplishments

Life, made perfect by imperfection

Spits sarcasm, when we expect sympathy

Enemies might stab but

Friends can hurt more

The days’ of every good thing are numbered

Pessimism is refuge

Maybe it’s true what some jest

‘Dreams are reality and being awake is an illusion’

How simple it would make life look

But death, is end

Not just to life but to sleep

There really is no ‘Rest In Peace’

One can’t rest while non-existent

There is no ‘One’.

Soul is unexplainable

Religion, a medium, to discipline mankind

The real power can’t be contained in the word ‘God’

Life is either a nearly impossible experiment

Or an accident

Life is, but everything, to the living

Reflecting on where lives currently are,

‘Am I satisfied?’ , in doubt we are

Because what satisfying is

What a perfect life constitutes

We know not

success and Money? Definitely not

What scares me most

Is falling into a deep ravine

Never reaching the bottom

Or rowing towards shore

Only to get further away from it

Or realizing that the very purpose of one’s existence

Is to find out that

We exist for no purpose at all

But how lucky we are, to be living a life,

To have so many flaws, so many imperfections in it

So many sorrows, regrets, mistakes,

so many bitter-sweet memories

Proud moments and moments when we felt worthless

Achievements, failures and typical “There is nothing to be happy

about, everything is boring” moments

Life, in its essence, is beautiful, interesting

God is so unfortunate, so sad

He never got to fail, never made a mistake

Food for thought – maybe he did.
