The End...

May 25, 2012

The End

At the sunrise of our lives,
I saw in ‘her’ eyes-
Her green radiating eyes,
The world of my dreams:
The dreams of my world!
Not a mirage, nor an illusion,
The skies were bright - clearer;
And clouds seemed no more-
Deep blue horizon inviting-
Both of us, to join hand in hand:
To play, to sing and to dance,
With no fear of anyone!
Again her green eyes shone,
The rays of hope and love:
The message of freedom-
Lines from within her heart:
“We are made for each other”
And of course, we were so!
But alas! End was not too far-
The sun had an early death,
At the sunset of her life:
The skies were girdled with-
The sooty - satanic clouds,
Deep blue horizon no more-
Just a mirage, only an illusion;
And then I saw in her eyes-
Her dark - dull - feeble eyes,
The broken world -- but not of my dreams!
The shattered dreams -- yet not of my world!!
