Canada: Oswald Sequiera’s Quest for Truth of Life..

Jun 24, 2010

Those who have seen the good old Konkani movie “Mog and Maipas” are sure to remember its hero Oswald (Ozzie) Sequeira.   Now Oswald is in the limelight once again not as a film hero but as the author of a book titled “The Alpha and Omega”,   which can be termed as unique in terms of its content and the treatment of subject dealt with.  In fact, it can be termed as a smooth transition for Oswald from film a hero to be the author with lots of ups and downs and challenges in between this long period.  The e-version of the book has been published and is already available on the net all over the world.  The paper-back and hard cover version will be available in all leading bookstores, first in the United States and Canada.  Within four to six month’s time the book will be available in all major book stalls all over the globe.

Apart from the efforts that Oswald has put into the book it is praiseworthy that he, a survivor of the deadly disease of cancer, has pledged a substantial portion of the income derived from the sale of the book to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canada and also to “Seon” Ashram in Ujire, Mangalore.  “I request all the esteemed readers of Mangalore and elsewhere to buy the book and also urge their family members, relatives, friends, acquaintances, associates and colleagues  to  buy the book keeping in mind the charity cause espoused by me” , says Oswald.

He also suggests that readers purchase the book in e-format as it allows him to offer a higher percentage towards the charity cause though it is cheaper than the paper-back and hard cover version and  is faster and easy to download and read.

About the Author

Author of the book Oswald Sequeira, born in Mangalore is currently settled in Canada with his family.  His book has something to do with what he has experienced in his life.  It was the power of the two miraculous healings he underwent that led him to go in search of the truth of life.  His recovery from an accident that incapacitated one of his legs at the age of 43 and his total recovery from advanced cancer further worsened by the 4 major blocks in an already damaged heart due to a silent heart attack he had suffered twelve years ago  bolstered him  to go in the  pursuit of quest of truth of life.  This quest led him to read sacred books of all religions and also the history books that resulted in a rewarding experience in the form of this book.

About the Book

Author Ozzie Sequeira encourages the quest for truth through the reading of sacred books of many religions. The Alpha and Omega: Whence From to Whither To is a quest for truth containing references from the Bible and other religious scriptures that attempts to understand the truth of life, its purpose, and its final destination.

He says “I have been able to simplify the book of Revelation and explain the symbols in simple terms for the understanding of the common people. My aim is to spread the truth I have discovered, to all the people to make the world a better place to live in”.   Sequeira seeks to provide his readers with an understanding of the mystery of the truth of life in this newest publication. It is a manuscripts which by design, transcends religious affinity and simply promotes or advances the belief that only through educating one’s self by way of reading the religious scriptures can one find true wisdom and knowledge, feels the author.

Ozzie says that the ideas presented in the book are not new and in fact, several publications are available discussing the very same theories, principles, thoughts, arguments, and ideas. According to him what sets apart “The Alpha and Omega “ however, is that it presents all this information in a single thought theory, as detailed in a single book. This effectively eliminates the need to peruse and cross-reference numerous manuscripts while reading on the topic”.

The Alpha and Omega shows, in an accurate manner, the connection between the Bible and history that many ordinary people are not aware of, such as the numerous prophecies in the bible which have come true, and how the prophecies of the Old Testament are connected with the New Testament. The book also delves into one of the most misunderstood and feared books of the Bible –  the Revelation; explaining concisely and clearly that it is not about doomsday predictions but actually a book of hope. The Alpha and Omega explains, in simple terms, the symbols and dreams of the Bible and its connection with history, it also looks into the many interesting topics that people discuss today such as death, hell, devils, demons, and ghosts, among many others.

The author hopes that, through his book, readers will strive to learn the truth from religious scripture. As it is through learning this truth only man can truly love self and seek happiness.

In addition to my below messages, I would like to enlighten my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus: Jesus as a person he was a perfect man. Also he was Devine there by demonstrating the power over nature, raising the dead to life and predicting many, many events. Who has the power over nature? Jesus calmed down the roaring sea and the wind died down. He raised the three from the dead.

NOW ABOUT WORSHIPPING OF JESUS: The three wise men visited infant Jesus in the manger and they WORSHIPPED HIM. The wise men of the olden days worshipped Infant Jesus. Matthew 2: 11 “And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts gold, and frankincense and myrrh”. They presented Immanuel (which means God with us) three meaningful things. Matthew 8:2 And, behold, there came a leper and WORSHIPPED HIM, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. Matthew 9: 18. While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and WORSHIPPED HIM, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live. Matthew 14: 33. Then they that were in the ship came and WORSHIPPED HIM, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God. Matthew 14: 25. Then came she and WORSHIPPED HIM, saying, Lord, help me. Matthew 18: 26. The servant therefore fell down, and WORSHIPPED HIM, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and

In continuation of below message: Matthew 28: 9. And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. The demons also recognized him and worshipped Jesus Mark 5: 6. But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, Dr. Luke 24:52. And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: John 9:38. And he said, Lord, I believe. And he WORSHIPPED HIM. Acts 10:25. And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and WORSHIPPED HIM. In the Hebrews I quote 1: 6. And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. A point to be noted here Heavenly father says all the angels of God worship him. In front of Jesus many people have worshipped and Jesus never said to them do not worship me or did not say I am not worthy for worship. I shall be back shortly about the divinity of Jesus

Daijiworld has done a great service by posting this article. I am sure they recognised a fellow Mangalorean's commendable feat in writing a book, publishing in a foreign land and supporting a good cause.
I read the book, and recomend it to all, especially to the youth because it answers lot of questions about life and its destination . I am amazed at the author's skill by which he (a lay person) has managed to concise information from beginning of creation to the second coming of Jesus and beyond, in 176 pages.
The ongoing debate makes me wonder what the self proclaimed Biblical scholars are trying to prove. They acknowledge they have not bought or read the book yet they use someone else's platform to tear at each other and insult one another, all in the name of God.
The author having met death face to face, sought God, found some answers and has the simplicity to share it with fellow human beings for their benefit. His suffering drew compassion that caused him to reach out to other suffering people. However, the ridiculously childish debate must have deterred many a buyers of the book causing much harm to the author's good intentions.
Wake up guys! The basic teaching of the Bible and all religions is Love Charity and Service. It seems our love has grown cold, the infighting proves it and there cannot be charity without buying the book in this case. I have done my duty to promote a fellow human being, pray many would follow. Good luck and God bless you Oswald Sequeira.

Dear Mr. Ashraf Mangalore, Dubai, first of all clarify this. I quote your comment. And what are you trying to prove. if that Jesus (peace be upon him) is god? or son of God? or Spirit of God, or all the tree?
Unquote. If that Jesus means what? Is it a material and you are putting peace be upon him. Jesus was the prince of Peace and he had sufficient peace. Jesus said it is my own peace I am giving to you. Secondly Jesus never said sone of God. What do you mean by sone? Thirdly, or all the tree. Which tree is this? Date's (khajoor) tree?
You did not clarify to my question I quote from the Gospel John 8: 58. Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. If Jesus came after Abraham why Jesus was saying before Abraham was I am? Kindly explain.

    Dear Mr. Joseph F. Gonsalves,

First of all I want you to introduce these four people. Mark, Mathew, John and Luke.

Secondly i say the quote you made is contradicting with the other message within the Bible.

And what are you trying to prove. if that Jesus (peace be upon him) is god? or sone of God? or Spirit of God, or all the tree? what is that? for any of these questions if you say YES.... then tell me what is the meaning of these quotings of Bible. Mark 12:29"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.... can you explain this?

Fine. what about this? Deuteronomy 5: 6 "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 7 "You shall have no other gods before [a] me. 8 "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 9 You shall not bow down to them or worship them for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 10 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

And this is the first commandment of Islam since ages. There is no God but one One God. worship him Alone.

It is surprising the comments have completely deviated from “The alpha and omega” authored by Oswald Sequeira

Some comments are egoistical under the guise of religion. Anyone who mentions something sane is brutally subdued by the likes of Janette. Such people are the farthest from the Bible and its teachings - ‘cause the most important law is not followed:

God’s One Law for All Mankind: Love all People as Yourself
The Bible states it very clearly, so there can be no possible misunderstanding:

For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Galatians 5:14 RSV)

The Pharisees obeyed all of the Ten Commandments, yet God was very displeased with them because they did not have love. The exact thing God wants from us is that we should love all people as we love ourselves. Everything else is subordinate to this.

1 Corinthians 13:1-13 - The Supreme Importance Of Love

13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing.

So, lets follow the Golden Rule “Treat others as you would like to be treated”. Some folks are apologizing to Janette, hoping not to aggravate her, but she is enjoying this negative publicity. IF she replies to this, she gets ignored by me.

    Mr. Ashraf, Mangalore/Dubai
Indeed you will quote Jesus slept, wept, ate, became angry, self do nothing and so on etc., etc., No Christians deny this fact. For your information Jesus came in flesh from heaven not to say what he was but to sacrifice himself as a ransom for many. John the Baptist says in the gospel John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. Unquote. Jesus himself says I quote Matthew 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Unquote. Since you have commented to this web portal I have to respond to your misconceptions of the Bible. For your information Jesus came approx. 2000 years before and Abraham was the father of all generations. I quote from the Gosepl John 8: 58. Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. If Jesus came after Abraham why Jesus was saying before Abraham was I am? Kindly explain.

I agree with Jannette D'souza's comment dated June 30th 2010. The verses are John 1:1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2. The same was in the beginning with God. 3. All things were made by him and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4. In him was life and the life was the light of men. Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. I haven't get enough time to explain fully as the subject is very wide and vast and we can continue relentlessly.

In general God is not a God of confusion however it is the humans who have confused with little knowledge. God Says in the Genesis I quote: Genesis 1:26. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. Unquote. Here God says let US (plural) make man in OUR (plural) image, after OUR (plural) likeness. Again the preceding words are I quote Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him male and female created he them. unquote. Here So God created man in His (singular) own image, in the image of God He (singular) created him, Male and female created He (singular) them. The scriptures say one time plural and another time singular. The word Elohim itself is plural. Mr. Felix if you read the scriptures was God confusing you or me? HE SPAKE IN PLURAL THAT LET US AND OUR MAY I ASK TO WHOM GOD WAS SPOKING TO IN PLURAL?
No one has ever seen God except Jesus. John 1: 18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath d him. John 8: 42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Jesus is in heaven and the face of heavenly Jesus is: Revelations 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

Dear Mr. Gonsalves every Christian knows about the triune God, even though it is not mentioned in the Bible, what many confuse, like you have confused yourself, is, it could be triune, but it is ONE. And this ONE GOD, is not the Father or the son or the holy spirit. Who or What this ONE GOD, is, is beyond the apprehension of anyone in the world. No prophet has said anything about God, also Jesus speaks about God, without saying what God is. It is a mystery which we can hope to know only after death.

Read your comments again – You said God is Triune (God the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit) and in the very next line, you are saying God is “Spirit” “Singular”, not “triune” I don’t know how you were able to indentify or imagine or specify God, as Spirit” and may I ask you “ What you mean by spirit.? Something that has no form and something you don’t see.?? You have to understand the mystery of God first, before you venture to teach others about the truth of the Bible
This comes down to confirm what the ten commandments say
    1.That is "One God"
2.Don’t make or imagine any form, or images of God, (Because no one has the knowledge to form the image of God)
Therefore ,We have to pray to the God without image, Jesus prayed to God and there was no image of God in front of him. We have to learn to communicate with God from the eye of our mind which God has given to each and every one of us which we know as the soul/spirit.

One should remember that God speaks faster than lightening, and the devil works at the same speed.

If the book is writtern to glorify or testify God then the glory should go to God. One should not worry the book. (Worry is the fruit of evil). If it is our right to get fruit for our hardwork then requires proper marketing.

I read books, also will read this book with a interest to increase my knowledge.

Scriptures should be kept close to one's heart, Not to boast. One can testify, confess, profess, express his faith without knowing scriptures. Ultimately on the final day God will reward or judge a person by his deeds. (Not one's knowledge)

Dear Mr. Felix F. India KSA.
First of all let me know are you a Christian.
Secondly, I urge you to pray to the Triune God (God the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit) God is spirit and those who worship God must worship in truth and sprit. John 4:24 Here the truth will confuse to some people. We have to adhere to speaking of truth with righteousness which will lead to heaven. (Don't be confused here that the Triune word is not in the Holy Bible and this word was given by the council a synod of bishops, held at Nicea in the year 325 AD)Thirdly, if you Worship God what is His name?
Fourthly Do you deny the divinity of Jesus?
Fifthly, Who has the power over the nature?

I shall be back to you after within a couple of days as I have to carry out my official work also. IF THE DAIJIWORLD PROVIDES ME AN OPPORTUNITY TO SPEAK THE TRUTH OF THE HOLY BIBLE I AM HAPPY TO SHARE MY BELIEF AND PERCEPTION WITH THE CHILDREN OF GOD/COMMENTATORS ABOUT THE SCRIPTURES OF THE OLD AND THE NEW TESTAMENT AND MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF US.

Believe me. you are one step far to ISLAM. Islam is the religion, only religion which is commanding to worship only One God. and Jesus, Moses, Abraham, Noha, may peace and blessings be upon them All are the prophets of One God, with the message Worship Him Alone but no other gods beside him.

Can you tell me what is the religion of Moses, if your answer is Jew, what about Abraham, Noha. what was they....

Believe me. they used to follow the gods commandments, as what was commanded to them. so did Jesus. he and also every prophet were surrendered or submitted themselves to God the creator. and also their message was also to worship the Creator Only.
    see.
    Mathew 19:16-17
Imagine if Jesus God, and he can do nothing. John 5:30
They all submitted to the will of God almighty. so Let the human being submit to God almighty, let us Submit ourselves to the one and only God. May God Guide us the right way.

Joseph F. Gonsalves, while thanking you for throwing light on some aspects, of our faith, and inspite of your study on the scriptures, & quotes from the Bible, & explanations, you have clearly stayed out of answering the most important question, who is My God & to whom should I pray.? We as Catholics belive in One God, who has no form, no beginning & no end, but are totally confused when it comes to honouring and praising the one God.

Joseph said, Jesus came very very near to the disclosure of saying that he eas God. John 13:13, but coming very very near is not same as being God

I belive in the 10 commandments 1 and 2 are as under
The 10 Commandments - God's Revelation in the Old Testament
The 10 Commandments are found in the Bible's Old Testament at Exodus, Chapter 20. They were given directly by God to the people of Israel at Mount Sinai after He had delivered them from slavery in Egypt:

"And God spoke all these words, saying: 'I am the LORD your God…

ONE: 'You shall have no other gods before Me.'

TWO: 'You shall not make for yourself a carved imageany likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.'

I belive we should pray only to the God as above & nobody else. Though some say, new testament has replaced old testament, But God of old testament and God of new testament cannot be different. I will be highly greatful if any of the readers or priests will comment on above

First Of all,Mr. Joseph Gonsalves, I don't need your endorsement on my being a person of God. I belong to God anyways. Secondly, by "Love is blind", what I meant was this is how they do the additions to the scripture. Nowhere in my comment did I say that it is found in the Bible. Read carefully before you comment. Thirdly, don't try to threaten me by saying that God will take away my name from His Book Of Life. Thank God He was so wise when distributing His gifts! If any gift was given to you, may be you would have called on fire on me! like the desciples asked Jesus whether they should do that when the people of Samaria were not allowing them to pass through their land!!!

From your very question to me it is very clear, Eva, that you don't read the Bible as it is written. First of all,The Acts of Apostles says 'All the believers were one in mind and heart' and secondly whenever a difference of opinion arose, they went back to Jerusalem to consult Peter and the elders and came to a conclusion and then only they went ahead with their preaching. In other words, there was an order in their preaching. Only people with too much ego went their own ways.

And regarding the admiration you have for the author, no one questioned on that point. Rather, I believe, everyone one is born with dignity and honour. It is, we who differentiate between people based on their status in life.

This is to all who say Jesus is not God: In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and THE WORD WAS GOD. The Word became flesh and lived amongst us. He is called Immanuel which means GOD WITH US. Those who have ears let them hear. These are Jesus' words. Not mine. God has hidden the truth from the learned and revealed His mysteries to mere children. Thank God for His wisdom!

The debate here has reached some very strange levels, there seems to be a very clear line of pro and anti.

For one thing if an author can write a book that encourages such a debate, it is a good thing. But each of us here are intelligent people, I do agree the church is an authority in religious matters! but how can anyone ignore the basic right of a questioning mind? Even God doesn’t forbid us that right!!

I wonder while John, Paul wrote their contributions to the Bible if they went back and forth with the church checking on their edits? What say you Janette? Where you around to oversee it?

Ozzie went through experiences, he questioned, he found some answers, and he decided to share them with us. Seriously what is wrong with that? Not everyone of us will go through an experience like cancer, not everyone of us will live through it to talk about a miracle, not everyone of us could learn through that experience.

So, if someone is sharing it with us, one can be wise and learn from it or don't it’s really an individual choice. But seriously do not insult intelligence or a well meaning action.

For everyone who thinks this is cheap publicity, for one publicity is never cheap, and Ozzie does not need cheap publicity, he is someone we admire within our community.

For anyone who thinks church is the ultimate power, good for you, hang right there in between all the sex scandals or conveniently look the other way.

From me Ozzie gets a thumbs up, good job!!!

Jesus came very, very near to the disclosure of saying that he was God. John 13:13 " Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well for so I am". John 17:5 "And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was". John 10:30 "I and my Father are one". John 14:23 "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. Here WE represent’s the Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit omnipresent in the person. Who can dwell in us only God can dwell in us and the Holy Spirit guides us. John 7:23 & John 18:6 Revelation 1:18 says, I AM HE. Isaiah 41:4 "Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last I am he". Revelations 1:11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: Revelations 1:17 and 2:8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive Revelations 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
As I have commented as per my perception and if I am wrong in my perceptions I ask forgiveness from my Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ Amen.

To Mr. Sontosh, Mangalore, & To Mr. Felix F. India KSA,
To some extent not all, I endorse Mr. Felix F. comments I quote "otherwise end of christianity is not far". Unquote. Jesus Himself had built the Church upon the rock foundation and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” Matthew 16:18. The church will remain for ever until new heaven and earth comes out with New Jerusalem. Matthew 24:35 says: Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Church means we the people who accept Jesus Christ as one’s Lord & Savoir. Jesus as a man restrained himself saying that He is God and worship Him fully knowing the evil designs of men. John 10:33 says
The Jews accused him of saying that “You being a man makest thyself God”. No man on earth remained without sin except Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God: SINLESS AND FAULTLESS. John 8:46 “Which of you convinceth me of sin”? As a human Jesus lived on this earth as a perfect man, humbled himself to heavenly Father even unto the death on the cross and sacrificed for our sins, a perfect man with a perfect sacrifice for the remission of the sins humans of this planet earth. Dear Janette Dsouza Your comparison: I quote, IT IS ONLY PEOPLE LIKE YOU SAY 'IF GOD IS LOVE AND LOVE IS BLIND, THEN GOD MUST BE BLIND'. Unquote. May I ask, you being a person of God how you enter into such an irresponsible argument? Do the phrase love is blind, existing in the Holy Bible? This word applies only to the worldly people who are engaged in merry making. The love of God is beyond imaginations of humans, from border to border, from coast to coast, from shore to shore and on the entire planet earth, the universe, His creations and heaven. Most of the Catholics are unaware of the meaning of the revelations of the Gospel. Now a day’s the sermon is nothing but stories. May I ask you if God has mother, God the Father is the husband of Mary isn't it? Jesus was not born with the sexual experience or through human interference however with the power of the Holy Spirit Mary was conceived and bore Christ Jesus. She is most chaste, pure and we are all respecting her. I am not against any denominations rather following the teachings of Jesus Christ whose teachings are easy and His yoke is gentle. I haven't read the Mr. Oswald's ebook however I had numerous study on the revelations of John. At last I can say Revelations 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

    Hi Walter,
While understanding your concern, about defaming our own religion in public and encouraging our enemies, I feel Christianity is not a private religion or secretive religion, that anyone can defame it,in order for the enimies to take advantage, but christianity is a universal religion, the truths of which should be understood by people all over the world.

To do this Christians should be fully aware about the truths on which it is built, and not as it is understood by individuals. This is clearly evident from the readers comments.

Since you have seen from the comments, the differences of opinions about our faith, and a lack of platform to discuss and come to a common understanding based the scriptures, I think you can do immense service to the catholic community, by asking knowledgebale persons to write on this subject, and for the readers to ask questions and clarify their doubts.

Your prospective vision on this subject will be a boon to understanding our religion in its correct prospective. Thank you.

I have fond memories of your family at Nantoor, specially your late parents. As a little boy, I vividly remember your Roce day where Wilfyaab sang his famous song Anna maria. It is indeed a very good feeling to note that “The Alpha and Omega” has kindled interest and is leading people into debate. As the author of this book, I feel that the book should be read first because, the answer to the topics that are currently being discussed and to the many more that may arise in the future have been answered to the understanding of all who want to accept it. I believe that only then the discussions can lead to a better understanding.

Janette D'souza, Mangalore/Abu Dhabi Scripture does not say that Jesus is God. It says I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only Son. And when Jesus was Baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan river a dove-like descent of the Holy Spirit, and a voice from Heaven saying, "This is my beloved Son with whom I am well pleased."[9] The voice combines key phrases from the Old Testament: "My Son" (the Davidic king as God's adopted son in Psalms 2 and Psalms 10, "beloved" (Isaac in Genesis 22), and "with whom I am well pleased" (the servant of God in Isaiah 42:1).[3]Jesus never said I am God. He always prayed to the Father. And When Jesus was about to die He saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, "Dear woman, here is your son," and to the disciple, "Here is your mother. And again the scripture says Mary was the wife of Joseph and the mother of Jesus Christ, who was conceived within her by the Holy Spirit when she was a virgin. She is often called the “Virgin Mary,” though never in Scripture are those two words put together as a proper name (Matt. 2:11 Matthew 1:23 Luke 1:27 Acts 1:14). No where in the scripture it is written that Mary is the mother of God. Because if God has a mother then God is not infinite but finite. So get your facts right before passing uneducated comments.

Appreciate your reply Mr.Ozwald Since I haven't read your book yet I cannot comment anything about it But about your explanation about the spreading of The Word,I have my own reservations. Writing a book on one's God-experiences is one thing and simplifying the scripture is totally a different thing.Preaching of the Word has to be done systematically. There should be a proper body,in our case, which is the church. If everybody tries to explain the scripture as per their own knowledge, there can be divisions in the church which is already evident.Shall we grow with the church rather than apart from the church please? If you believe that the church should be happy that you have done their job for them, surely the church is aware that you have undertaken such a task in the first place? I am sure they have given their approval for the wonderful job that you have done for them? If not, that calls for wisdom and discernment from the common man and that was the exact question I was trying to ask and you haven't answered that yet. Waiting for your reply patiently.

Sorry Felix, I have no time to waste on you because I firmly believe that only fools argue about scriptures. When I believe in the scriptures, I believe them as it is written without any addition to or deduction from it. If the scripture says that Jesus is God and He was born of Mary that makes me believe that Mary is the Mother of God. It is only people like you say 'if God is love and love is blind, then God must be blind'. Don't try to teach the scriptures to me. I have my own priests and nuns to do that for me either by words or examples. One sincere advice to you though - don't STUDY too much of scriptures. It will lead you to further confusion. Just READ and MEDITATE the scriptures daily and the Holy spirit will lead you to complete truth. Just trust in God like a child. All the best.

Janette your reply shows how ignorant you are about the scriptures. Please show your comments, to any priest, and ask his advice. After talking to the priest, write your comments, so every one will be enlightened by the truth, and not by your imaginary understandings. Please note, my comments are not my imagination, or my interpretation of the bible, they are the results of bible study and discussions with people, who have studied the scriptures and know the truths of Christianity.

There is Only one God and he is TRIUNE. i.e. Father, Son & Holy spirit, thus it is wrong to pray to Saints, Mary and relatives who are deceased as they cannot intercede for man with God.

    1 TIMOTHY 2: 5

"For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man CHRIST JESUS ,who gave Himself a ransom FOR ALL, to be testified in due time. ( New King James Version)

Thus Jesus himself is our mediator and intercessor with God, he is seated at the right hand of the heavely Fatherm interceding for our life-

Jesus says "Im the Way ,the truth ,and the life. No one comes to the father except through Me."...John 14: 6

God has no father,mother....but he has adopted US as sons and daughters through Jesus Christ...Galatians 3: 26 & 27..........thus God is father to us as well as the angels..he calls them as sons too...kindly read Genesis..
In short our prayers should be directed to the one God and nobody else.

Congratulations - in prospect of reading your book – really looking forward to it.

Referring to a specific prior comment which came in the form of a few questions on Christianity, Jesus and Mary, which is indicative of a renewed distress signal of the future of our religion, it is this kind of prejudice that has gotten ourselves into a mess, a smack on the face for this author (of these seven questions) could be that he needs to understand that faith is to be found within the believer.

Too many questions will never get you anywhere – belief is something that germinates quietly and imperceptibly within one’s inner soul and does not feed on blemishes of others, especially of the Clergy. Let us not blame the Church for our weaknesses and our inability to benefit from it, rather facilitate a comeback, which needs courage, on what we have lost due to worldly trials of the Church.

Oh Felix, from your comments itself it is very clear that you don't know your God at all. It also makes me wonder whether you are even a christian first of all. Our church has never confused its faithful and it never tries to rule over them but rather does a marvellous job of guiding its faithful in the right path.It is because of people like you today the church has got thousands of off-shoots. None of the points you mentioned in brackets make sense. First of all,Christians pray to God and they DO KNOW who they are worshipping. Only people like you don't believe that Jesus is God. Mother Mary IS the Mother of God and we, the true christians don't need your endorsement on that truth.Christians pray to Holy Ghost because HE IS GOD. We adore the Blessed Sacrament,Sacred Heart of Jesus or Infant Jesus because by His death He has wrought our salvation. There are no many forms of Mary. We venerate her in different names given to her as per her appearances at different places. Christians pray to the saints because they are our role models who by their life teach us how to be better christians. My friend, sometimes ignorance can be bliss. Don't you know no knowledge is better than half knowledge? As per your claim that Oswald has been able to make the Revelation understandable to common man, there have always been differences of opinion regarding the interpretation of this book and that is the reason I asked for
clarification on this point to FLORINE and not you.

Ozzie, you have made all Mangaloreans proud.I endorse your book as an eye opener for all especially the young adults.I agree with your argument that, the knowledge about truth of life, its purpose and destiny is distributed in the Sacred books,History books and science books, and cross referencing is biggest hindrance in gaining knowledge.By integranting this knowledge into one thought process and containing it in one book is a commendable achievment. Kudos to you Ozzie and God bless you with good health and success in your charitable cause to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society and the Seon Ashram, Mangalore.

    Fri, Jun 25 2010

Dear Jenette D'Souza, I acknowledge your concern. The explanation is that, we have to remember that the Bible is a universal book to be read, understood by all and explained by whoever has the knowledge. Jesus Himself gave this command just before he went to Heaven. Some authentic version of the Bible tell us that, besides the eleven Apostles, there were many of His disciples including Mother Mary at that time and He commanded all present there, "go then to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples and teach them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And I will be with you always to the end of the age." Now, if we liken the 11 Apostles to the current church clergy and other disciples to the current lay people, then Jesus’ command includes all lay people as well, which means each one of us has the responsibility to teach and preach the good news. Preaching and teaching as we all know involves simplifying the topic at hand to the understanding of the listener/receiver. For example, a physics teacher simplifies the Newton’s law of gravity to the understanding of the students without deviating from the original fact/truth. This is what I have done with the book of Revelation, the symbols and dreams. I believe the church should be happy that I have done their work for them.

This is a rejoinder to Ms Janette D'souza's comment. The church itself has put the Christians in total confusion over several important aspects of faith, for the simple reason, to keep the christians ignorant and rule over them. So how can you ask the church, whether it has given green light for the common man to read it.

If the church had played its role in educating the christians about the scriptures as per the Bible, then there would be no need for people like Oswald to write the book of revalations understandable to the common man.

The following will tell the sorry state of christians today inspite of The ten commandments clearly stating, there is one God, Pray only to this one God and dont make any pictures or statues of this God.But what do the christians do
    1. Christians pray to God (who is this God no one knows)
    2. Christians pray to Jesus (some think he is God and some not)
    3. Christians pray to Mary (some think she is Mother of God and some not)
    4. Christians pray to Holy Ghost.
    5. Christians pray to Blessed sacrament, and so many forms of Jesus, like sacred heart, cross, infant Jesus and so on.
    6. Christians also pray to so many forms of Mary
    7. Not satisfied by the above christians pray to thousand of saints, who are no greater than normal human beings in the eyes of God.
Now that Oswald has opened our eyes, we should demand answeres from the church on several important issues, otherwise end of christianity is not far.

    Dear Oswald,

Thank you for writing this book. I was always wanting to know more in detail about the Book of Revelation. I have read this book many times, but it is very difficult to understand. Specially the terms, Heaven, Hell (addressed in many different ways in the Old and New Testament)and the Begining and the End.
I shall definitely buy this e-book, which will not only help me to understand the meaning of Revelation but also help for the cause of the less fortunate.

Oswald, God Bless you!. Its only through sufferings we come closer to God and try to understand his ways. He's ways has always been truth and righteous.

Once again I wish you good luck and good health.

Also, to just let to you know, that I have seen this movie 'Mog Ani Maipas' three times because of its Hit Songs, super-duper.

    All the Best Oswald.
